Playground: Our playground will be located across the street from the Clubhouse. We are upgrading our equipment for children and hope to have a new playground by Fall 2026. Currently, the Continental Village Parks District is awaiting approval from the Town of Philipstown. When we have further information, we will add it to our Playground Update page. We also have basketball and tennis courts. The area is open every day until dusk.
Boating: No motorized water vehicles are allowed on the lake. Kayaks and rowboats are allowed but must be inspected to prevent the introduction of invasive plants, insects, and animals into the lake. Reach out to Fred Romer for more information. There is a small launch for homeowners without lakefront property near the beach entrance.
Established in 1948, the CVPOA is the social and civic heart of Continental Village. Our community is unique, spanning the borders of Philipstown, Putnam Valley, and Cortlandt. While the Continental Village Park District (Philipstown) manages our beautiful lake and grounds, the CVPOA is a volunteer-led non-profit dedicated to the "people" side of our neighborhood. We steward our historic Clubhouse, coordinate community-wide events, and work to preserve the legacy of a village that has been a home to families for generations.
We will be posting our upcoming events on this website. We also hang signs for our upcoming meetings and events from our Continental Village signs on Sprout Brook Road, Gallows Hill Road, and Winston Lane. You can join our Facebook Group. Search for the Continental Village Community Page and fill out the questions to confirm you are a resident of Continental Village.
Interested in volunteering? We’d love to hear from you! To get involved, please reach out by filling out this form or emailing us at CVPOAorg@gmail.com. Include your name, contact information, and a brief note about your interests or availability, and a member of our team will get back to you with next steps.
Continental Village is served by our volunteer fire department. When emergency responders are needed, a siren located across from the CV Clubhouse is activated to alert volunteer firefighters and emergency personnel. The siren may sound at any time, day or night, and is an important part of our community's emergency response system.
